WISCONSIN — Shopko has announced that all of its stores will close after the company was unable to find a new buyer.
The closing process will begin this week. This follows Shopko's announcement in January that it had filed for bankruptcy and was closing a number of stores across the country. In its filing, the company cited excessive debt and ongoing competitive pressure.
, the Ashwaubenon, Wisconsin-based retailer said the store closings would help make Shopko more attractive to potential buyers.
