It may not be $1.5 billion, but winning Saturday's Powerball jackpot could make you the wealthiest person on your street as the jackpot has soared to $415 million.

Saturday's jackpot is set to be the ninth-largest jackpot in US history, and the seventh-largest from Powerball. Depending on sales, the jackpot could grow between now and Saturday.

While $415 million is a lot of money, it is just a fraction of the $1.586 billion jackpot that was up for grabs on Jan. 13. That jackpot was split between three winners. Two of the winning tickets have stepped forward, while a winner from California has yet to claim their share of the winnings.

Large jackpots are becoming more with Powerball's new rules. The odds of hitting all six numbers in the Powerball drawing is 1 in 292,201,338. The jackpot grows after each time someone fails to win the jackpot.

The multi-state lottery has gone since March 2 without a winner.

Powerball is played in 44 states. The only states in the continental United States that does not participate in Powerball is Nevada, Utah, Mississippi and Alabama.
