'Rolling Stones' sax player Bobby Keys dies

Bobby Keys, the saxophone player for rock band "The Rolling Stones" has died at 70.

"Bobby made a unique musical contribution to the band since the 1960's. He will be greatly missed," said the band on its official Twitter account.

Keys' music career spanned four decades, from the 1969 Rolling Stones album "Let it Bleed" to the Ronnie Wood solo album "1234" in 2013.

In addition to The Rolling Stones, Keys performed and recorded with legendary musicians Eric Clapton, George Harrison, John Lennon, Lynyrd Skynyrd and others.

A cause of death has not been released.
