Rachel Maddow made a surprising announcement on Twitter Tuesday night, claiming to have President Trump’s elusive tax returns, which became a huge topic of discussion leading into the November election.

She promised to discuss the financial documents Tuesday at 9 p.m. on MSNBC's “The Rachel Maddow Show.” The message was quickly retweeted upwards of 50,000 times.
Maddow later clarified that the document is a 1040 form from 2005. Check back on this story for updates.
