President Trump weighs in on Samantha Bee's vulgar comments

President Trump called for talk show host to be fired on Friday morning after Bee used vulgar language to describe Trump's daughter and advisor, Ivanka Trump.

"Why aren’t they firing no talent Samantha Bee for the horrible language used on her low ratings show? A total double standard but that’s O.K., we are Winning, and will be doing so for a long time to come!" Trump tweeted.

The double standard to which Trump was referring appears to be Roseanne Barr's firing from her hit show on ABC. Barr's show was canceled from the network on Tuesday after she made a racist tweet about a former aide to President Obama.

In a segment about the first daughter, Bee called Ivanka Trump a "feckless c***."

Bee issued an apology after conservatives began rallying for her TBS show to be canceled over her comments.

“I would like to sincerely apologize to Ivanka Trump and to my viewers for using an expletive on my show to describe her last night,” Bee said in a statement.

TBS also apologized for airing Bee's comments, but says they will not fire her.

“Samantha Bee has taken the right action in apologizing for the vile and inappropriate language she used about Ivanka Trump last night,” the network said in a statement, according to The Hill. “Those words should not have been aired. It was our mistake too, and we regret it."

Two advertisers have also said they will pull their ads from Bee's show.
