A Texas nurse who has been staying in a Maryland hospital while being treated for the highly contagious and potentially fatal virus Ebola has been declared free of the disease, according to the National Institutes of Health.

The news comes a day after a doctor in New York City tested positive for it. Craig Spencer, the fourth person in the U.S. diagnosed with Ebola, had returned to the country last week after working with Doctors Without Borders in Guinea.

Spencer has not seen any patients since his return, according to reports.

Pham had contracted Ebola after contact with patient Thomas Eric Duncan, who had been in a Dallas hospital receiving treatment for the virus, and died. Another nurse who had contact with Duncan, Amber Vinson, is also considered Ebola-free but remains hospitalized in Atlanta.
