NASHVILLE, Tennessee — Country singer Jason Aldean has urged unity after Sunday’s mass shooting in Las Vegas that claimed the lives of at least 59 people and injured hundreds.
Aldean was performing when shots rang out at the Route 91 Harvest Festival just off the Las Vegas Strip.
The singer said in a new Instagram post that he’s experienced a wide range of emotions since the shooting and said it’s “time to come together and stop the hate!”
"At the end of the day we arent Democrats or Republicans, Whites or Blacks, Men or Women. We are all humans and we are all Americans and its time to start acting like it and stand together as ONE! That is the only way we will ever get this Country to be better than it has ever been, but we have a long way to go and we have to start now,” he said in part.
