It's National Pizza Day: Saucy ways to celebrate
Posted

New Yorkers and Chicagoans have debated thin crust vs. thick crust for years. The one thing they can agree on is that pizza should get its own holiday.

It does! Feb. 9 is National Pizza Day, so grab a slice or a whole pie, and here are some other ways to celebrate.

HAVE A PIZZA PARTY
Cook! Purchase the Pizza Bible and start cooking. This recipe book is the complete guide to all things pizza and all types of different pizzas. Have your guests bring their favorite toppings and get them in the kitchen to make their own pie.

DECORATE
Start off by hanging this adorable pizza banner. Make sure you have these jumbo pizza balloons floating all over. This pizza box is not only a great decoration but it also comes with pizza plates! And with these pizza cups, pizza napkins and pizza straws you will be ready to serve up a great pizza party.

DRESS THE PART
You and seven of your best friends can all have BFF pizza necklaces each with their own personalized initial. Put them all together and you get a whole gold pizza pie. Wear this pizza princess shirt or this Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles pizza dress. Or you can order these pizza aprons complete with personalization for all your guests.

PIZZA GADGETS
Presto makes a rotating pizza oven. It will bake your pizza on top and bottom so you get the perfect crust.

This outdoor pizza oven by Pizzacraft will allow you to make crisp, fresh pizza while you camp. It is propane fueled so also ideal for tailgates.

Cuisinart has a pizza package that includes a pizza stone, folding pizza peel and a pizza cutter all for under $34. Perfect for grilling pizza on your grill.
