Diawannah Corstera Thomas, 54, is accused of running over her accomplice while trying to getaway from police in Houston, KTRK reported.
Police told KTRK that Thomas was the driver of a U-Haul while three men allegedly were breaking into a food mart. An off-duty officer witnessed the burglary and called for backup.
The U-Haul then took off and led police on a 25-mile chase, prosecutors said.
During the chase, one of the suspects left the U-Haul. Another suspect was run over by the rear tires after clinging onto the side mirror.
She was charged with a count of murder.
KTRK reported that Thomas is a grandmother to seven.
