A McDonald’s franchisee is looking into claims by two customers who reported finding worms in their food at separate Kentucky restaurants.
But according to CBS news, Michael Love -- owner-operator of the two restaurants – said that subsequent health inspections did not uncover any issues.
One of the customers who found the alleged worms was Mayfield resident Madison Stephens. She told WPSD-TV that after a live worm fell out of her hamburger as she prepared to bite into it -- she had purchased the food for both herself and her 1-year-old son.
Stephens said that when she contacted McDonald’s about the incident, they sent her a $10 gift card.
About 25 miles away, at a McDonald’s in Draffenville, customer Lacey Jo Lovett also reported finding a worm in her hamburger.
Meanwhile, Love claims he still has been unable to substantiate the claims.
