A Colorado driver came up with a quick fix for his broken tail light, but it didn't work out so well.
He used a red Gatorade bottle and taped it to the spot while he was on the way to get it fixed.
From a distance, it might look like a tail light, but up close you can see the details of this DIY project.
While it is creative and Longmont police say they appreciate the effort, they encourage other drivers not to do this.
The police department said in a statement that working tail lights can prevent accidents and save lives.
They let the driver go with a ticket.
