It's a real-life indecent proposal.
A 23-year-old unnamed bride to be claims she was offered a $10,000 payment in return for the coveted maid-of-honor spot at her wedding. In a post on Reddit, the woman said her older sister offered her the bribe if she was chosen as top bridesmaid over the woman's younger sister.
The woman described her older sister as "a terrible person" with whom she's not close. But she was torn on the issue because she said $10,000 "is a lot of money" for her fiance and she.
The post was upvoted more than 2,000 times and received more than 1,000 comments from other Reddit users.
The top commenter suggested she not take the money because "there is no guarantee" her older sister would actually pay up. The commenter also suggested "the offer from her seems extremely suspicious" and that it may be simply an attempt at driving a wedge between the woman and her younger sister.
What would you do in the same situation?
