NASA is tracking a rare solar event happening Monday called planetary transit.
The space agency says the event can be seen from Earth when a spot of mercury moves across the Sun's surface.
According to NASA, the event only happens a little more than once per decade. The mercury can be seen for approximately seven and a half hours.
