TULSA, Okla. (AP) - The Oklahoma Department of Corrections says an inmate who walked away from a halfway house in Tulsa has been recaptured.
The department said Tuesday that 30-year-old James Dean was found in a hotel Monday in southeast Tulsa. The DOC says Dean surrendered without incident and a woman in the room was arrested for harboring a fugitive.
Authorities say Dean walked away from the Tulsa Transitional Center on July 5.
Online DOC records show Dean was convicted in 2014 of being a felon in possession of a firearm and driving under the influence of alcohol.
