TULSA — Zaxby's announced they are closing their east Tulsa store.

In a news release, officials said they are closing the 31st and Highway 169 location "due to a strategic business decision to focus on improving operations and providing exceptional service at the three nearby locations."

The restaurant will close Sunday, officials said.

The fast-food chain has two other locations: one at Yale Avenue and Mingo Road and in Owasso on 86th Street North.

Employees at the 31st Street location "have been given the opportunity to relocate to one of the three other restaurants," officials said.
