TULSA — St. Patrick's Day sure was special this year for a World War II veteran, who got to celebrate his 100th birthday.
Friends and family celebrated Harry Friedberg's milestone on TU's campus Sunday.
Friedberg was drafted in 19-40, serving for several years.
He married his wife during that time, and they were together for 64 years until she passed away.
Friedberg said his family has kept him going.
"My sister, my daughter-in-law and my son are who I have spent the last 10 years with and they have kept me going and have taken me care of me like a youngster," Friedberg said.
To keep his brain sharp, Friedberg plays bridge twice a week in broken arrow.
