City workers have replaced an underground water pipe that burst on Sheridan, but the road remains closed Monday morning.

Drivers won't be able to drive on Sheridan from 6th to 7th Streets, until the road is repaved.

Crews worked overnight to repair the 12-inch water pipe that gave way on Sunday afternoon. This affected the Highlander Laundromat and other businesses and homes in the area.

The cause is still undetermined, but it could have been heat related.

Drivers are cautioned to avoid the area, until Sheridan reopens. This could take several hours.
