BIXBY — Work begins today on revamping the pedestrian bridge over the Arkansas River in Bixby.
It's called the "Harmony Bridge" and it's about to get a new surface, along with new lights.
A preview of what it will look like when it is finished can be seen in the video.
Starting today, crews will begin washing and painting the bridge.
Phase two will add the multi-color lights and will start in the Spring.
The bridge will be closed during construction.
