TULSA — Happy Birthday, Woody Guthrie!

The Woody Guthrie Center is kicking off their virtual WoodyFest 2020 on Tuesday night in celebration of the famed American singer-songwriter's birthday.

On July 14, 1912, Oklahoma's own Woody Guthrie was born in Okemah, Oklahoma, according to Wikipedia.

The "This Land is Your Land" singer-songwriter is know as one of the 'most significant figures in American western folk music.'

In 2013, theWoody Guthrie Centerwas established in Tulsa, Okla., and features art exhibits, educational programs and concerts to bring Guthrie's legacy to Tulsans and to his fans worldwide.

Woody knew that music was a catalyst for social change, and he used his words to encourage everyone to create a better world for all.

WoodyFest 2020 will feature Woody's family, including Arlo Guthrie, as well as several other artists like BJ Barham, John Fullbright, Jason Mraz, the Red Dirt Rangers and more. For a full list of artists, click here.

The digital kick-off for WoodyFest begins Tuesday, July 14 at 7 p.m. and ends July 19.
