TULSA – In the past, the accolade named after Oklahoma’s most revered folk singer was awarded in New York and Los Angeles, but this year the ceremony will take place in Tulsa for the first time.

The Woody Guthrie award will be given to American musician and actor Kris Kristofferson. The ceremony is set to take place in the Tulsa for the first time since the award’s fruition.
It is scheduled to be held at Cain’s Ballroom in downtown’s Brady Arts District on October 18 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets for the event will go on sale June 13 and can be purchased here.
