Women pushing disabled car hit by suspected drunk driver

SAND SPRINGS, Okla. - A suspected drunk driver was arrested after hitting a disabled car and injuring two women.

It happened around 1:00 a.m. near the Case Community Center in Sand Springs.

Officers tell us two women were pushing their disabled vehicle down Wekiwa Road, after it ran out of gas.

Police say a Ford Mustang came up from behind and hit the rear of the car at a low speed, causing one of the women to fall and hit her head on the road. She was transported to the hospital to be checked out.

Officers also said the second woman was briefly wedged between the two vehicles, but was not badly hurt.

The driver of the Mustang was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
