WAGONER, Okla. — 53-year-old Talina Galloway of Wagoner was last seen April 7. Now, friends are desperately searching for her.
An adult can come and go as they please, but those close to Talina are concerned for her health.
Close friend Marty Angus remembers the last text message he received from Talina.
"She wasn't feeling well, and she would get back to me when she felt better," Angus said.
That was the last time Marty heard from Talina.
“I’ve been calling, texting. There’s just no answer. Her phone’s been off since the 7th,” Angus said.
According to Talina's Facebook page, she posted that she had coronavirus.
The post said she was not going to go to the hospital, but she was taking time away to deal with it.
“She said she was gonna be back in about a week. That was five weeks ago,” Angus said.
According to the missing person report, Talina left home without her purse or wallet. The report also says Talina's car was in the driveway.
Sergeant Jeff Halfacre of the Wagoner County Sheriff's Office says the circumstances are troubling.
“This is extremely out of character for her to just up and leave and not contact anybody for a long time,” Halfacre said.
Investigators believe Talina may be using rideshare services, but have not been able to verify she was picked up.
Agnus says Talina has told him she was sick in the past, but never went missing.
Mental health experts like Chelsea Edwards of Life Senior Services say if Talina does have coronavirus, the unknown could cause her to abandon everything.
“We don’t know when it will end. We don't have answer to rather it well get better or if it would get worse,” Edwards said.
Talina Galloway is described as 5 foot 7 inches tall and about 200 pounds.
She has a distinct tattoo of a sun symbol on her right wrist.
