Woman transported to hospital after being set on fire, Tulsa police say

A woman has been transported to a Tulsa hospital after she was set on fire by her boyfriend, Tulsa police confirm.

The incident took place in the 4600 block of North Main.

Officers say the woman had burns on her torso when they arrived. The victim's mother called the fire department, which contacted police due to the nature of the domestic disturbance.

According to TPD, the couple got into an argument, so the woman sprayed the man with mase. He then lit her on fire, they say.

Investigators still are searching for the boyfriend, who goes by the nickname of Smiley.
