Woman taken into custody near Woodward Park after police say she tried to run over officer

TULSA -- A 32-year-old woman has been booked into Tulsa County Jail after an officer-involved shooting in midtown Tulsa.

Police said Ashley Holquin led them on a pursuit from the 2100 block of 76th East Avenue to the 1500 block of East 19th Street, allegedly after stealing a truck. Police say the owner of the truck said he was going to take Holquin for a test drive but when he went back into the house, she took off in the vehicle.

Police identified the truck and tried to stop Holquin, but she did not stop, police said.

Police said the woman tried to run over an officer before being arrested. An officer fired a shot at her, but the woman was not hit by gunfire, officials said.

The officer who was involved in the shooting was identified as Kelli Braitsch, an 11-year veteran with the department. 

She was booked into jail on charges of attempted kidnapping (2 counts, she allegedly tried to carjack a car after bailing from the truck; stealing a vehicle; attempted theft of an auto; assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer; resisting arrest, and eluding and endangering others.
