TULSA – One person has been arrested after a woman was shot in the head in midtown Tulsa Wednesday.

Tulsa police say they were called to a residence on 3900 East 2nd Street to investigate reports of shots fired.

When they arrived they say they found a 37-year-old female with severe wounds to the head.

According to TPD, two people were at the scene and currently one, Blain Butcher, has been arrested on complaint of shooting with intent to kill.

Butcher is believed to have been staying at the house of the other person who was found at the scene, according to police. Authorities say the victim was visiting the home.

Detectives discovered that the woman who was renting the home and the victim who was visiting were in an argument when the renter asked the victim to leave. Butcher who armed at the time shot the victim once in the head, say TPD.

Police say the woman is not expected to survive.
