TULSA – The woman fatally struck by a vehicle as a result of an alleged romantic dispute has been identified by police.

Brianna Dean, 25, was pronounced dead on September 2 making her the 49th homicide of the year.

Tulsa police say Dean was “intentionally ran over by a car” near the 5100th block of East 47th Place. Police initially responded to an auto-pedestrian wreck near Interstate 44 and Yale but later discovered the victim knew the driver.

Dean was reportedly walking with her boyfriend when the driver, Brittany Payne, arrived and the three started an argument. When Dean and Payne walked up onto some grass, police say the Payne drove up onto the grass and struck the Dean with her car.
