TULSA - Police are searching for a suspect in a hit-and-run wreck Monday night that left one woman in the hospital.

Tulsa police were called to the intersection of 46th Street North and Elgin Avenue just after 8:30 p.m. They say a 69-year-old woman was crossing the street in a motorized wheelchair when she was hit by a red pick-up truck.

The driver of the truck fled the scene. The woman was transported to a local hospital and is stable condition with a broken leg.

A portion of the road was blocked off while police are investigating.

Police are now searching for the driver of that truck. The vehicle is described as an older red Chevy pick-up truck with the front headlight smashed and possible damage to the front of the vehicle.

If you have any information about this wreck, you are asked to call police.
