A local woman is finding innovative ways to provide meals to Tulsa’s homeless.
Mary Rice says she knows what it’s like to feel down and hopeless. But a new job as a holistic health and wellness consultant gave her a fresh start and opportunity to help others.
She started giving out shaker cups and shake mix that she calls “portable meals” that can be mixed with water.
"I made a promise here last year when I was having hard times that I would give back,” Rice said.
Rice has been able to supply the meals through donations. She tells us she’s provided more than 600 meals so far.
