TULSA -- Tulsa police released a statement Monday saying they believe a Midtown woman's death was accidental.
Homicide detectives investigated the death as suspicious, but later released a statement saying they do not believe the death is suspicious.
Police were called to the home after a family member found the woman dead in her bedroom. Officials said the 57-year-old appeared to have a gunshot wound to the head with a gun lying nearby.
In a later statement, police said the woman's death was caused by an accidental fall.
According to police, the Medical Examiner's Office will conduct a separate investigation.
