Police arrested a Sand Springs woman accused of starting several fires at the Apple Creek Apartments.
The Sand Springs Fire Marshal assisted officers in a surveillance of the apartment complex after five arson fires were reported in September.
Around 10 p.m. Friday, police say the fire marshal saw a woman light materials in a dumpster on fire.
Police say they responded to an apartment that the fire marshal saw her go in to while firefighters responded to the dumpster fire.
Officers arrested Amber Almy and took her to the police department.
According to an arrest report, police say Almy confessed to starting all six fires since Sept. 16,including one near the apartment’s laundry room. She was booked into the Tulsa County Jail for two counts of second degree arson and four counts of third degree arson. She was released on bond Saturday afternoon.
