TULSA, Okla. — Jane’s Delicatessen is participating in “Food It Forward" by donating meals to local hospitals.

For every $5 donated, they’ll give a burger to health care workers. They donated 250 burgers to Hillcrest Hospital Tuesday and are planning to give more than 300 burgers to St. Francis Hospital on Thursday. They say with everything going on, hospital staff shouldn't have to worry about their next meal.

“It’s important to everybody right now to, even though we have to social distance, to really help each other out," said Dane Tannehill, owner of Jane's Delicatessen. "They’re risking their health every day, you know. It’s the least we could do is try to feed them.”

You can donate by purchasing a $5 burger from Jane's Deli. If you aren’t in the mood for a burger, there are other ways to help out. You can call the restaurant at 918-872-0501 to donate over the phone or donate online here. They’re hoping to give to more local hospitals and first responders.

Jane’s Deli is also doing to-go and delivery orders. They also have this market full of fresh bread, eggs, milk, and even toilet paper.
