TULSA, Okla. — The Habit Boutique is a relatively new store in the Shoppes on Peoria, but shop owner Shavonna Caldwell is determined to stick around by staying strong throughout the coronavirus pandemic.
Established in May 2016, Habit Boutique features constantly changing, size inclusive, apparel and accessories for women year round, along with a few items like journals, wall art, and mugs that have inspiring and positive messages.
Caldwell hand picks each item that goes in the store.
Now, Caldwell has opened up the stores availability for curbside pick up and free online shoppers for customers. Caldwell is also promoting e-gift cards, in lieu of physical gift cards, to ensure they're doing their part to comply with social distancing guidelines.
"Abruptly closing my storefront has been challenging for sure, but we are getting creative," Caldwell said. "My first concern is health and safety which is why I am offering the different options."
Caldwell is a proud Oklahoma native, born and raised in North Tulsa. She says this is why she is so passionate about keeping a trendy, fresh, and progressive store front in the Shoppes on Peoria.
"It’s important for me to make the necessary adjustments to maintain a presence in this area," Caldwell said. "This is my home, I love my community and I would like to see it be on par with areas around."
The Habitat Boutique is located at 1717 N. Peoria Avenue #12 in Tulsa. To browse their selection, click here.
