TULSA — According to officials with Welltown Brewing, the 'All New' Cheyenne Street District is celebrating its first year downtown Welltown's Oktoberfest focusing on Tulsa local food, beer and music.
Officials say you will find six different local breweries including American Solera, Broken Arrow Brewing, Heirloom Rustic Ales, New Era: Fine Fermentations, Rapture Brewing, and Welltown Brewing.
Siegi's Sausages will be providing German festival food, officials say.
"We, Welltown Brewing, won't be able to be a part of the 'Linde Oktoberfest' this year so we decided to scratch our own itch and throw our own downtown Oktoberfest" says Jeremy Diamond, Oktoberfest organizer. "As we started advertising the festival, a few other breweries reached out to us and wanted to be a part of it… so now it's a party of 6!"
Welltown's Oktoberfest began at 4 p.m. on Friday Oct. 4 and will continue until Saturday, Oct 5. evening.
Officials say people expect non-stop fun in the Game Garden where they will have axe throwing, corn hole, and keg bowling.
