TULSA - Crews are battling a 16 in. water main break for several hours and even working through the night to fix the issue.

They discovered the break Thursday morning, which is actually in the A & B Auto Salvage yard, but the problem became worse overnight.

A few cars drove thru several inches of water before Pine was completely shut down.

Pine is closed from about Yale to Sheridan.

The hole is filling with water faster than crews can pump it out, delaying the repairs even more.

Most of the water lines in Tulsa are decades old and many in the area were installed back in the 50's.

As of Friday morning, about 100 residents are without water and others in the area may be experiencing low pressure.

The city said it could take workers another several more hours to fix, but Pine may be open later Friday morning.
