Today is the first day of the 2018 Scripps National Spelling Bee. Help us cheer on Scripps Green Country Regional Spelling Bee winner, Sai Lakkimsetti. Sai is a 3rd grader at Jenks SE Elementary.
JENKS 3RD GRADER DONATES $500 TO STEM PROGRAM; PREPARES TO COMPETE IN SCRIPPS NATIONAL SPELLING BEE.
There are 516 spellers competing this year. Viewers can watch the whole competition on ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPN3 .
Here’s the schedule:
Tuesday, May 29, 2018: During Round 1, competitors complete a written preliminaries exam. Round 2 on stage can be watched from 8:15 a.m. to 4:20 a.m. CT on ESPN3 with a one-hour break at noon.
Wednesday, May 30: Round 3 will be aired from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. CT on ESPN3 with a one-hour break.
Thursday, May 31: The top 50 spellers move on to the Finals. The beginning of the finals will be aired from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on ESPN2. Watch the completion of the finals on ESPN beginning at 7:30 ESPN.
