WARNER, Okla. — A 40-year-old man was arrested Monday in Muskogee County after officials said they found child sexual exploitation images being stored in an online cloud account.
Jimmy Mendenhall, of Warner, was arrested by members of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation's Internet Crimes Against Children unit.
An investigation into the man began on June 18 after a cybertip came in from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
The man was located at a Warner residence. He attempted to flee, but was located and taken into custody, officials said.
Mendenhall faces counts of possession of child porn, distribution of child porn and violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.
Officials said the man's previous criminal history includes two counts of lewd acts to a child and one count of failure to register as a sex offender. His sex offender registration requirement expired in 2014, officials said.
