TULSA — A metro student who was diagnosed with meningitis and underwent two brain procedures returned to class recently to cheers and applause.

Metro Christian Academy Tulsa said the student, third-grader Caden Davidson, recently returned to school for the first time in more than a month.

On Feb. 8, Caden went to the hospital after four days of the flu. He was diagnosed with meningitis and admitted to the pediatric intensive care unit.

The boy had a stroke before he began to make his recovery.

"There were lots of happy tears as he walked into the building and rejoined his class," the school wrote on Facebook.
