Wagoner High School cancels class due to power outage caused by raccoon

WAGONER COUNTY, Okla. — Wagoner High School canceled classes on Wednesday due to power outages.

Officials said students picked up by the bus will be returned home. ICTC Students will have classes as normal on the ICTC campus. The bus schedule will run as normal and pick up in front of the high school, officials said.

Authorities said at 5:30 a.m., there was an incident at a substation involving a raccoon that caused the outage. At about 7:30 a.m., Wagoner police said they believed a large portion of Wagoner was without power.

Power has been restored to the area.
