Wagoner County deputies arrest suspects while working on another investigation

Posted

Wagoner County deputies said they arrested two suspects while they were working on another investigation.

Deputies said they were finishing up another investigation when one of the deputies noticed a pickup truck, which was pulling a trailer that was carrying an ATV, run a stop sign in the area of 121st and 259th East Avenue Thursday.

The three suspects in the pickup truck, Thomas B. Alexander, Tavoyia P. Gomez, and Victor M. Perez, were discovered to have been committing crimes in the area, deputies said.

After contact with deputies, Perez jumped out of the vehicle and fled on foot, deputies said.

Deputies arrested Alexander and Gomez, but Perez was not apprehended.

During the search of the vehicle, deputies said, a Tulsa County robbery victim's wallet was found in Alexander's pocket.

"My deputies did an outstanding job this morning," Sheriff Chris Elliott said. "They solved a crime before the victim had become aware that they had been burglarized. Additionally, their thorough investigating has led to possible information on an armed robbery that occurred in Tulsa County. This unfortunate incident can serve as a reminder that is essential to secure all of your property as best you can."
