Those going out to vote will choose several proposals under the Vision 2025 plan. The options are Public safety, transportation, economic development and county projects.
If all the items listed pass, the vision tax will remain in place. One of the hottest voting topics is the river package.
If approved, the funds will go toward dam repairs, building a second dam and filling the river. An OU study showed that the new projects could add $122 million in annual revenue as well as 1,800 jobs.
Supporters of Vision 2025 also say the plan will benefit local schools. Under the package, the city will also be able to hire and train more police officers, firefighters and EMT's.
