VINITA, Okla. — A 7th grade teacher from Ewing Halsell Middle School in Vinita was suspended after police say she accidentally posted a nude photo of herself in the social media app Snapchat.
Vinita police say the teacher meant to send the picture only to her husband, but realized 30 minutes later she had posted it to her public Snapchat story.
She took it down, but by then students had the photo, and it started circling, police said.
Because this was a mistake, police say they are leaving it up to the school to decide what to do about the situation.
School officials say the teacher is suspended for 10 days with pay.
