MUSKOGEE, Okla. – An entire unit on a power plant in Muskogee was intentionally imploded Wednesday morning after being out of service for several years.
OG&E imploded one of three older units on its property in Muskogee, which has been out of commission since 2010.
According to OG&E, the unit that was imploded Wednesday was the easiest option because of its small size. They went on to say that the other two will be torn down mechanically sometime in the near future.
OG&E wanted to stress that this unit has been out of service for several years so its demolition did not affect anyone’s power.
