Man shot during road rage' incident on HWY 66

VERDIGRIS, Okla. – A road rage incident left one 18-year-old man in the hospital with bullet wounds recently.

According to authorities, the victim and his brother were driving along Highway 66 between 510 and 520 when they were started to engage in a “brake checking” situation with another person.

Eventually the suspect pulled his car up to the victim and shot through his windshield hitting the victim in neck and his car drifted into the median. The victim’s brother then stopped and transported him to a local hospital.

Currently the victim’s condition is reported as stable but otherwise unknown at this time.

The suspect is described as a black male with possible dreadlocks, red hooded sweatshirt. His vehicle is described as older-model maroon or red Chevy Cobalt.

It is unknown if the victim and his brother know the shooting suspect.
