South Tulsa shooting victim waves down ambulance for help

TULSA — One person was taken to the hospital on Thursday afternoon after a South Tulsa shooting.

The shooting happened at about 2:20 p.m. at the Cedar Glade apartments near 71st and Mingo.

Police said the victim then drove down 71st Street and stopped in the right lane of the roadway to wave down a passing ambulance.

EMSA says the victim is a 19-year-old man.

Eastbound 71st Street lanes are partially blocked in the area while police investigate the incident.
