Via Airlines nonstop service to Austin begins in May

TULSA--Via Airlines is announcing three new nonstop flights from Austin, Texas. The new routes will offer service to Little Rock, Ark., Oklahoma City and Tulsa, Okla. 

Via Airlines is turning Austin, Texas into one of its major hubs having first inaugurated service in May 2017 to Branson, Mo., as well as current operations to Steamboat Springs, Colo., and Tucson, Ariz. Service to Oklahoma City begins April 22, 2018; service to Little Rock begins April 29, 2018; and service to Tulsa begins May 6, 2018. All markets will have daily flights operating Sunday to Friday on a schedule conducive to both business and leisure travelers.

“We look forward to welcoming Via Airlines to Tulsa in May,” said Tulsa International Airport CEO, Mark VanLoh. “The addition of daily nonstop service to Austin will further enhance the connection between our two cities and give our passengers one more reason to fly from Tulsa.”

“Today’s announcement establishes an exciting direct connection between Tulsa and another city known for its arts and culture Austin, Texas,” Mayor G.T. Bynum said. “I am thankful for the team at Via Airlines for making this investment in our city, and can’t wait to use this new option for air travel.”

Tulsa Airport’s Improvement Trust Chair and Tulsa’s Future Chair, Jeff Stava said, “Tulsa businesses have recently ranked Austin as the top regional destination for new air service. Thank you, Via Airlines for connecting our cities and for choosing to grow in Tulsa.”
