A convicted sex offender who fled the country was found in Guatemala and is back in custody, according to the U.S. Marshals Service of the Northern District of Oklahoma.

The office says Roger Huddleston was convicted in a California federal court on a 2008 case for possession of child pornography. The Northern District of Oklahoma then monitored a federal supervised release in 2011. They say Huddleston later became a fugitive in June 2015.

After a lengthy investigation, the office says Deputy U.S. Marshal Breland Speaks was able to track Huddleston down in Guatemala. They say he was arrested on Dec. 12 and returned on Dec. 13.

Huddleston is currently being held in a U.S. detention facility. He is expected to be transported back to Tulsa to face charges.
