An upcoming banquet in Tulsa will help raise money for struggling families in Peru.
Mita's Foundation is preparing for its 8th annual charity event that will take place on Sunday, November 11.
President Tina Pena says 100% of the proceeds will go toward school supplies, soup kitchen and more facilities and resources that the organization provides.
The event will have an auction, food, drinks and will recognize Hispanic leaders in the community.
This year's "Orgullo Hispano" award recipients are Lehabim Escoto with the City of Tulsa, Samira Izaguirre with La Que Buena radio station, Felipe Oyarzo with Levites Studios and Jose Socorro with J.B. Hunt Transport Services.
