University of Tulsa president resigns amid medical issues

TULSA, Okla. — The University of Tulsa board of trustees accepted their president's resignation Thursday.

Officials say Dr. Gerard Clancy is stepping down immediately due to ongoing medical issues.

Provost Janet Levit will serve as interim president.

The board chair says Dr. Clancy will continue his role as a faculty member in the Oxley College of Health Sciences.
