TULSA - Union Public Schools, Tulsa Police and the FBI are investigating a threat against Union 9th graders that showed up on social media Thursday night.

Parents told 2 Works for You that a picture of a masked gunman appeared on Instagram with a threat pointed to the 9th graders at Union Public Schools. In the post, the following was written from "wierdo._."

"Nope f*** that, I'm staying in bed. @@ all Union 9th graders wtf.

"This is not nun to joke at about fr fr. I'm not going tomorrow.

"comingforu9thgrade Coming for all y'all tomorrow. (devil face emoji)

"Be ready Union 9th Grade Center. It's about to be a bloody show. (devil face emoji, devil face emoji and two exclamation marks).

Union Public Schools spokesperson Chris Payne said they don't believe this is a credible threat, but did say they are working with law enforcement in this investigation and that there would be a strong police presence at both the 9th Grade Center and Union High School first thing in the morning.

"Although we don't believe this is credible, we have to take things like this seriously," he said. "Parents have asked us if they should keep their children home tomorrow (Friday) and we have told them that we didn't think that would be necessary; there will be lots of security."
