The Tulsa dentist accused of killing a toddler is now having his dentistry license temporarily suspended.

Documents show that Bert Franklin will not be working with teeth anytime soon. On Friday, the Oklahoma Board of Dentistry unanimously voted to temporarily suspend Franklin's dental license.

The motion for an emergency temporary suspension states that "an immediate risk to public health and safety exists." His license will be suspended pending a final hearing.

Franklin was arrested in Julyfor allegedly killing his girlfriend's son, Lincoln Lewis, in Oklahoma City.

The board says former patients have filed complaints against Franklin and his Signature Smiles office.

One of the allegations states Franklin charged more than $80,000 to a former patient's credit card without her permission.

Franklin's currently in custody at the Oklahoma County jail with no bond.
